Ford MyFord Touch Lawsuit Certified as Class-Action in Nine States

A class-action lawsuit has been certified on behalf of consumers in nine states alleging that the MyLincoln Touch, MyFord Touch, and MyMercury Touch systems are defective. The lawsuit alleges that the touchscreen displays either crash or freeze when the vehicles are in motion. The lawsuit also claims that the systems fail to respond to voice or touch commands, connect to phones, or provide accurate GPS data.

The MyTouch systems were advertised as providing the ability to use navigation, operate audio controls, make phone calls, operate double climate controls, and link to a smartphone to play music. However, the manufacturer knew the systems were faulty because 500 of every 1,000 systems had serious problems according to the lawsuit.
