Ford Focus and Fiesta - Ford Motor Company

The Ford Motor Company is facing lawsuits over defects in its Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta car models that create a hazard for owners of the vehicles. The focus of the lawsuits is on two of Ford’s bestselling models, and affects vehicles manufactured between 2012-2015 (Ford Focus) and 2011-2015 (Ford Fiestas).

According to the language of the suit and a news story published by WLOS, hundreds of complaints have been filed. The main problems: the vehicles’ clutches and transmissions.

Reports indicate that vehicle owners are experiencing a number of complications with the transmission, including:

● Sensation of grinding when attempting to shift
● Shuddering and shaking of the vehicle during acceleration
● Delays in acceleration

The class-action lawsuit states that these problems affect a driver’s ability to control the car’s speed, acceleration, and deceleration. The lawsuit states that there have been over 500 complaints filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

A lawsuit has been filed against Ford Motor Company for defects in its 2012-2015 Ford Focus and 2011-2015 Ford Fiesta car models. The lawsuit alleges that the cars are manufactured with defective automatic transmission control modules, which lead to dangerous operating conditions and an increased risk of accident and injury.

Transmission defects may lead to grinding sensation when shifting gears, shaking of the vehicle, and problems with accelerations and deceleration.

Despite consumer complaints, the NHTSA has not issued a recall for this specific defect. As a note, ,recalls have been issued for Ford Fiestas in regards to defective door latches. Ford has also issued a recall notice for new Mustangs with doors that will not stay closed.

Anyone who has purchased a leased or 2012-2015 Ford Focus or 2011-2015 Ford Fiesta is invited to join in the class-action lawsuit against Ford. In addition to joining a lawsuit, if your vehicle is experiencing any of the complications above, or if you have a Focus or Fiesta manufactured during the years mentioned, you should seek repairs.
